    CNC Machine Operator

    What's in it for me?

     

    + **$19.00 - $23.00 an hour** or more based on experience

    + **Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday, 5:30 am to 5:30 pm or** **2nd Shift: M-Th 4:30pm-3am**

    + **Weekend Shift: Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours, and paid lunch**

    What’s the Job?

     

    + Operate CNC machines to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts

    + Read processing sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine operating requirements

    + Observe and read displays on control panels and compare with processing sheets for accuracy

    + Performs spot checks and inspections of products as they come out of machines

    + May operate another CNC machine during CNC cycles, when necessary and feasible

    + Mark and/or tag defected parts or material and put in appropriate areas

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    + High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

    + Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and instructions, read and write short correspondence, and memos, and present information in one-on-one situations or small groups

    + Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

    + Ability to walk, stand, bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with body, arms, legs, hands, fingers, and wrists repeatedly to grasp, manipulate or assemble machines and objects

    + Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
