A medical device client of ours is seeking a **Manufacturing Engineering Technician** to provide engineering and manufacturing support for the development of new or improvement of existing products.
**Title:** Manufacturing Engineering Technician – DIRECT HIRE
**Location:** Eagan, MN
**Compensation:** $33-$36/hour +, depends on experience
Hours: 1** **st** **Shift
JOB SUMMARY
The Engineering Technician will provide engineering and manufacturing support for the development of new or improvement of existing products. This includes design, documentation and validation testing.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and documentation
+ **Processes CTO’s (configure-to-order).**
+ **Works with product managers to document new products.**
+ **Design and set up of manufacturing jigs, fixtures, and equipment for Production**
+ **Write work instructions as needed**
+ **Create detailed drawings**
+ **Create internal label specifications**
+ **Process document change orders (DCO’s) promptly, accurately and completely.**
+ **Designs new molded silicone parts and molds.**
Performs tasks in a manner that supports agency listings and certifications
+ **ISO 13485**
+ **FDA registration**
Follow product development process as defined in the Quality System.
+ **Conducts validation tests and test studies.**
+ **Supports first article inspections of new parts and designs.**
+ **Supports IQ, OQ, PQ (installation, operation, and process qualifications)**
+ **Supports documentation requirements for Design History File**
Interdepartmental relationships and teamwork.
+ **Support manufacturing helping to produce product meeting Company quality standards, cost targets, and production schedules.**
Support purchasing with complete documentation as required.
+ **Provides technical support to Sales and Marketing, including help with show samples, prototypes and CAD renderings.**
+ **Provides part cost information to accounting as required.**
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
+ **High school diploma or equivalent**
+ **Software proficiency Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint**
+ **Manufacturing process knowledge including: Manufacturing Environment.**
+ **Clean room or controlled environment**
+ **Product Design knowledge, including design for manufacturing and drafting standards.**
+ **Organize and maintain tooling and spare parts for production equipment.**
+ **Perform repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on machinery while keeping detailed records.**
+ **Hands-on approach and desire to troubleshoot equipment and assist in production.**
+ **Must be able to lift up to 45 LBS**
PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
+ **Relevant associate’s degree**
+ **Excellent Computer Skills with: SolidWorks and 3D printing**
+ **AutoCad (DraftSight)**
+ **Microsoft Visio, Project, OneNote**
+ **LabelView or Labeling Software knowledge**
+ **Adobe Illustrator**
+ **Manufacturing process knowledge including: Molding, injection, transfer molding (silicone), and casting**
+ **Metals fabrication**
+ **Packaging, labeling, and sterilization processes**
+ **Lean/Six Sigma training**
+ **Possess excellent organizational and project management skills**
+ **Strong verbal and written communication skills**
+ **Engineering CAD Technology, Engineering Drafting and Design Technology, or equivalent technical experience.**
+ **Mechanical aptitude with ability to install, assemble, repair and maintain production equipment**
+ **Medical device industry experience beneficial for IQ execution and documentation needs.**
+ **Must be able to lift up to 45LBS**
