Employee Services is looking for a passionate technologist for the role of **SAP BASIS Lead** **E** **ngineer,** to achieve highly scalable, available, resilient, SAP systems supporting rich benefits and a positive employee experience for our premier global talent. This position is responsible for delivering the right solutions on time, within the allocated budget while ensuring that they adhere to technical and operating standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Lead and implementtechnical SAP solutionswith clean, efficient, and well-documented system configurations, integration and security posture.
+ Administer SAP ECCon HANA systems and associated components, as well as manage SAP’s BTP services.
+ Maintain healthy and available SAP systems;establishand improve operational processes, ensuring the stability of the system during critical operation times.
+ Ensure 24x7 production operations,monitoring of the system and alignment to all service level agreements.
+ Collaborate with multiple agile product squads, architects, and stakeholders to effectively meet and exceed delivery timelineswithin budget.
+ Act as owner/operator for Delta’s SAP infrastructure, while establishing trust and productive working relationships with vendor partners.
+ Oversee SAPtechnical upgrades, performance tuning, migration efforts, integrations,and change controls.
+ UnderstandDelta’s enterprise cloud strategy, cloud operations, and vision.
+ Familiar with cloud deployment methodology (DevSecOps),in an SAP and non-SAP context.
+ Establish credibility as the ‘face’ of the SAP BASIS team, collaborating and building trust across all SAP Product teams and business partners.
+ Engage in Agile software development and engineering activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, with an aim to continuously evolve.
+ Write detailedtechnical agile features and storieswith acceptance criteria.
+ Proactively manageand communicate surrounding dependencies.
+ Apply systems thinking to anticipate and identify underlying problems and opportunities.
+ Initiatetechnical proposals and drive solutions to continuously raise the bar.
+ Increase our reusable automation footprint for testing, build, deploy and supportactions.
+ Apply excellent judgementwhen making technical decisions.
+ Increase availability, resiliency and recoverability of the SAP landscapes.
+ Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ 8+ years of relevant hands-onSAP BASISexpertise including system administration, upgrades and support packs.
+ 3+ years of database managementexperience including Hana, Sybase, and Oracle.
+ Experience with SAP ECC with HCM, (Time, Payroll), SAP Gateway, SAP PO.
+ Experience with Solution Manager, BTP’s monitoring services and connectors.
+ Experience with a complex data center move or migration.
+ Experience with cloud infrastructure and best practices.
+ Strong supportexperience on high availability critical systems.
+ Excellent communication and project management skills.
+ Proven team leader.
+ Candidate must be solutions oriented using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probing all sources for answers.
+ Candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
+ Candidate must be a self-learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and provide tangible results.
+ Experience with APIs and Microservices preferred.
+ Experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Candidate must be reliable, produce quality work, take pride and ownership in their work with a high level of professionalism, passion, and a sense of urgency to make things happen
+ Experience working with diverse teams located across various locations.
+ Highly adaptable, a driver of change, and capable of quickly rallying teams / peer groups.

+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Experience with large scale SAP migrations is preferred.
+ SAP Certifications (SAP Certified Technology Associate/ Specialist, SAP S/4 HANA System Administration, SAP HANA 2.0, SAP s/4 HANA Conversion & Upgrade) or equivalent experience.
+ Experience integrating SAP with non-SAP applications, AWS Services, and SAP BTP services.
+ Experience working in an airline technology environment is preferred.
