    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    Lead Occupational Therapist - Full-time, ACUTE CARE. Mostly M-F, but 2 weekend shifts are required per month.

    Some essential functions include:

    + **OT scheduling**

    + **Precept/ onboarding of new employees/ mentoring fellow staff members**

    + **Rounding/ Hospital level committee work**

    + **Assisting with employee satisfaction initiatives**

    + **Holds monthly OT huddles**

    + **Is the Go-to for daily OT needs**

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy

    + State Licensed Occupational Therapist

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    + Must have acute care experience (this is not an inpatient rehab role)

    + At least 5 years of experience is required

    + Weekend availability: 2 days per month is required

     

    HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital. We serve the communities of Seminole and West Volusia County. Our program offers open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology. Electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services are also offered by this program. Other services that we provide include orthopedic and spine care, as well as robotic surgery. We offer acute inpatient medical rehabilitation and complete imaging services.
