Job Summary and Qualifications
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance. This position serves as a liaison with outside vendors on repairs and maintenance of buildings and property as needed. Responsible for assuring all grounds are well-groomed, maintained and safe for employees.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Perform repairs as they relate to the maintenance and safety of all buildings and grounds.
• Work with management to create a preventative maintenance schedule for each facility (i.e., adjusting the light timers in parking lots, filter changes, hot water tank checks, etc.). Complete routine checks and follow-up on need repairs.
• Perform miscellaneous projects for managers as requested (i.e., hanging pictures, etc.).
• Assure all grounds are properly maintained and groomed.
• Make note of more involved maintenance repairs needed so as to obtain budgetary approval, schedule with outside contractors to acquire bids, and evaluate completed work.
• Assist with facility-related invoices and payments.
• Consistently follow company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for delivering a high level of customer service in all interactions with employees, vendors, and guests. · Serve as a resource to other employees as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
EDUCATION:
• No education requirements
EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years’ experience maintenance-type work is required (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
• No license requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strong working knowledge of building maintenance and repair (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, etc.).
• High level of dependability required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to self-initiate areas of opportunity, make recommendations for improvement, and follow up as necessary to achieve desired results.
• Ability to interact effectively with managers and co-workers to accomplish tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
• Must be able to use a computer, including Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Must have various tools to perform repairs.
