Job Description

SUMMARY: Reviews production support issues and works with Developers and users of our applications to resolve those issues. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system. The position holds accountability for leading and facilitating requirements elicitation sessions among business and technical users, writing business requirements and specifications, providing functional/conceptual/logical design documents, building applicable business case models, preparing and/or implementing UAT scenarios and facilitating UAT testing.

Working with the Project Manager(s) to follow project plans, convey accurate project status, and identify issues and risks. May prepare time estimates for completing projects. May be assigned to coordinate projects from development through implementation, working with their organizations IT workers, as well as clients, vendors, and consultants.

Prepares applications workflow charts and diagrams to specify detailed operations to be performed by computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in system. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Business Systems Analyst Senior is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues.

Skills and Requirements

Experience - 3 -5 years of work experience in business or systems analysis within the IT development field,

One (1) of those years in the healthcare industry

mostly performance metrics - Durable Medical Equipment/Home Health

Must have worked as a BA on the Reporting/Analytics Team

Intermediate level understanding of SQL language

Experience building out current and future state process flows

Be able to gather requirements create

Familiarity with Microsoft technologies

Experience with client/server databases and reporting tools- what tools?

Experience with web development tools and client/server product support

Thorough understanding of SDLC and change management

Basic understanding of data transport and interfaces

Basic knowledge of Internet formats and languages

Enhanced knowledge of software quality assurance methodology and practice

Ability to understand and convert business requirements into functional specifications

Strong understanding of systems and applications with the ability to learn managed healthcare systems null
