We foster a flexible, collaborative environment, offering a hybrid model that balances in-person and remote work. Our hybrid approach allows you to work alongside your colleagues in our vibrant Boston office at 501 Boylston Street for at least two designated days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on others. This is a temporary part-time position that will likely run from June through August, with a possible full or part-time extension in the fall (exact start and end dates are negotiable). The expected hourly rate is $90/hour, paid on a 24-hour work week.
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to help support projects, share their expertise, and provide recommendations for process improvement.
+ The Contractor Project Manager (PM) will provide assistance on project deliverables and on tools management used for CHIA projects.
+ Strong analytic and communication (oral and written) skills necessary to interact with all levels of management.
+ The PM will identify, develop, problem-solve, and assist in implementing process improvement initiatives.
+ Assist team in identifying and monitoring program risks, issues and communication/escalation.
+ Assist team with performing business impact analysis and create mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
+ May serve as a lead role over small projects.
+ Identify skill gaps (project management concepts: developing project plans, risk management, scheduling, estimating, resource management).
+ Based on skill gap analysis, create training plans and conduct training sessions.
+ Provide assistance to project lead on any questions.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 3 years working in an IT environment
+ Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing technical projects
+ Project management experience and working knowledge of MS Office Suite
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to respond to changes in priorities in a flexible manner
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Ability to understand business related issues and potential impact to project scope timeline
+ Ability to identify, isolate and communicate issues and risks as needed
+ Ability to develop procedures, standards and guidelines used throughout the agency
