Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a BIM Coordinator to join the team of a large Semiconductor Design Engineering firm. The primary responsibility of this individual is to develop and implement a new process that standardizes the BIM solutions. This will ensure all entities supporting this project have a congruent submittal process leveraging 3D Plant and Navisworks.

The Coordinator will also be assisting with MEP designs, where they will be working closely with Engineers to understand requirements from the client and design the model accordingly. These tasks will include reviewing / developing drawings, plans, families, and models within 3D Plant, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Additional responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance with Tool Install General Requirements (TI GR), Semiconductor client standards, and specifications.

• Verifying model-to-design compliance and alignment with Semiconductor client CAD standards.

• Overseeing and adhering to the Design Execution Plan in line with the contractor's design and coordination process.

• Managing zone creation or changes, ensuring adherence to DMZ documentation and space management plans.

• Conducting BIM Track reviews and responding to issues promptly.

• Reviewing and responding to project documentation and models within Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or other platforms.

• Leading clash resolution efforts, coordinating with trades, certified piping contractors, and the PIT Team as necessary.

• Reporting on Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data to track project progress.

Additional responsibilities include facilitating coordination meetings, verifying model placements, escalating issues for resolution, and ensuring all design requirements are met before fabrication and installation.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in construction installation practices, with a focus on piping, electrical, or dry mechanical disciplines, specifically within Semiconductor.

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D for 3D model development.

• Skilled in Navisworks Manage for 3D coordination and clash detection.

• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 for project collaboration.

• Experience with BIM Track for issue tracking and coordination among project stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently Tool Install experience, preferably semiconductor.
