    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Design and implement advanced test automation frameworks that scale across multiple platforms and services

     

    - Lead technical initiatives to improve testing infrastructure, methodologies, and tools

     

    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle

     

    - Develop comprehensive testing strategies for complex distributed systems

    - Mentor team members and contribute to building a culture of quality engineering

    A day in the life

     

    You'll start your day reviewing test results from overnight automation runs and prioritizing critical issues with the development team. Throughout the day, you'll write code for new test frameworks, participate in architecture design reviews, and collaborate with product managers to define quality metrics. You might spend time optimizing performance tests for a new logistics application or mentoring colleagues on best practices in test automation. Your role combines hands-on technical work with strategic quality leadership.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience

     

    - 1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience

     

    - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

     

    - Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment

     

    - Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment

    - Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
