    Description

    The Merchant Success team is responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy to grow and retain merchants after their initial launch with Buy with Prime (BwP) and Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) products. Merchant Success team members will navigate ambiguous business challenges while working directly across a network of internal and external cross-functional stakeholders.

     

    The Senior Account Manager will create and implement strategies to effectively manage a portfolio of strategic partners using BwP and MCF, creating strong partnerships with rapidly growing the businesses. You will leverage learnings from merchants to continuously improve internal processes, reduce merchant pain points, and influence product roadmaps based on strategic merchant priorities, to maximize long term growth potential and improve shopping and fulfillment experiences.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Own strategic vision and performance to objectives across a portfolio of strategic merchants

     

    - Define forecasts and communicate progress and blockers to management and cross functional teams

     

    - Gather, interpret and apply a wide range of data to resolve issues and exceed business objectives

     

    - Prioritize effectively in an ambiguous, complex, fast-paced environment

    - Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    A day in the life

     

    You will define and execute merchant business strategies while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. You will lead merchant business reviews, identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities while setting and tracking merchant forecasts that directly influence organizational goals. You must promptly escalate issues and engage appropriate stakeholders for resolution, operating independently but collaborating with management on high-value negotiations involving pricing, co-marketing, and incentives.

     

    You will communicate clearly across all channels with both internal and external partners. You must gather and prioritize product and merchant insights to drive business decisions, while helping shape product and roadmap decisions through direct input and team collaboration. You will actively mentor team members and share best practices across the organization. Additionally, you will support product development initiatives, including beta testing of established and emerging product lines.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

     

    - Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

     

    - 5+ years professional experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or Business Development roles

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

    - MBA

    - Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

     

    - 5+ years of relevant work experience in business development within supply chain operations or Ecommerce.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
