Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced _Software Engineer_ to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.
This position will be located at our **Aurora, Colorado** site. **This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.**
_This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3 (Principal), depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment._
Basic Qualifications:
+ **Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance and SCI access. No clearance required to start [** **_US Citizenship required_** **]**
+ Software Engineer - Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 2+ years of software development experience; 0+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Principal Software Engineer - Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Experience with Git
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
+ STEM degree
+ Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
+ Experience with Python, C, C++ and/or Go
+ Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm
+ Familiar working with Docker and Podman
+ Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite
Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Salary Range 2: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
