Job Title : Project Manager/Estimator

Division : Construction - Utah County

Supervisor : Area Manager , Construction

Job Summary : Under the directio n of the c onstruction a rea m anager, the p roject m anager is responsible to manage and review estimates and assigned construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities :

+ Visualize, define, plan, communicate , and implement the company vision and core values .

+ Estimate and manage construction projects.

+ Mentor and train c onstruction i nterns , p roject engineers, and field engineers .

+ M anage and review estimates .

+ Monitor employee training and certification.

+ Maintain recruiting, hiring, promotion, and corrective action .

+ Project, organize , and implement project budgets and work under contract .

+ Work to resolve procedures, complaints and construction issues.

+ Monitor and control project to ensure it is completed on schedule and within budget.

+ Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.

+ Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs , and scheduling.

+ Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts.

+ Maintain insurable driving record.

+ Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements .

Education and/or Experience :

+ Bachelor of Science degree in c ivil e ngineering or c onstruction m anagement.

+ Five years of progressive estimating and project management .

+ Experience in management and road construction materials.

+ Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills

+ Ability to review and analyze financial information

+ Strategic thinking skills

+ Knowledge of Viewpoint software, P rimavera scheduling software, M icro Station and I nroads design software, Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS), Heavy Bid software and basic su rveying and measuring equipment

+ Proficient Microsoft Office skills, superior in Excel

+ Ability to organize all aspects of the project and foresee and resolve project con flicts
