Position Description:
Drive impact at scale by shaping the future of enterprise security. CGI is looking for a Vulnerability Management Program Architect to join our Security Architecture team and play a key role in building and evolving a world-class vulnerability management (VM) program. In this strategic role, you’ll design and lead the implementation of a scalable, automated, and risk-driven VM framework that spans hybrid cloud, on-premises, and third-party environments.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide security posture by integrating industry best practices, governance processes, and actionable reporting, all with the support of a forward-thinking, collaborative team. If you're passionate about designing mature, sustainable security programs that make a real difference, this is your chance to lead from the front.
This role offers flexibility, with a hybrid working model available in most of our U.S. CSG office locations.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Define and implement a comprehensive vulnerability management lifecycle framework, aligned to NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and industry best practices.
• Develop policies, standards, and procedures to govern vulnerability identification, prioritization, assignment, tracking, remediation, and risk acceptance.
• Analyze current-state scanning processes, asset inventory integrations, remediation workflows, and reporting mechanisms to identify maturity gaps.
• Recommend improvements to scan frequency, authenticated/unauthenticated scanning coverage, and asset onboarding governance.
• Design escalation paths, SLA targets, exception handling processes, and risk acceptance frameworks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to drive remediation accountability and enable governance workflows through ServiceNow or ApexaiQ.
• Create operational KPIs and executive dashboards to measure vulnerability exposure, aging, and remediation rates.
• Train stakeholders and operational owners on new vulnerability management processes and expectations.
• Support audit readiness by documenting lifecycle management processes and maintaining artifacts
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 12+ years of overall cybersecurity experience, with 5+ years leading or designing vulnerability management programs.
• In-depth knowledge of CVSS scoring, threat modeling, risk prioritization, and vulnerability lifecycle governance.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (Tenable, Qualys, Microsoft Defender, Nessus) and integrations with ticketing (ServiceNow).
• Experience defining remediation SLA models and handling risk acceptance or compensating control justifications.
• Strong ability to bridge business risk language and technical vulnerability findings for executive reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with proven success driving cross-functional collaboration in regulated industries.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
