    Position Description:

Take the lead in shaping the future of third-party cybersecurity. CGI is seeking a Risk Assessment Lead to spearhead our Third-Party Risk Assessment (TPRA) program as part of our Cybersecurity Governance Team. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive the security evaluation process for critical vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet key cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory standards. You'll work with top-tier frameworks like NIST, HIPAA, and HITRUST, playing a vital role in protecting our ecosystem. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to be based at many of our U.S. CSG locations

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    • Manage and lead the annual security assessments of all Tier 1 (high inherent risk) vendors, as well as assessments for remaining vendors not previously assessed.

    • Design, refine, and operationalize the inherent risk rating methodology, including factors for PBIR scores, service criticality, and data sensitivity.

    • Conduct detailed security questionnaire reviews, evidence collection, documentation analysis, and vendor interviews to assess control maturity.

    • Identify gaps, define risk exposures, and work with internal business owners and vendors to develop risk remediation or mitigation plans.

    • Lead integration of third-party security assessment results into enterprise risk register and governance workflows.

    • Align the third-party risk assessment lifecycle with industry standards like NIST SP 800-53, NIST 800-171, HIPAA, and HITRUST CSF.

    • Support the implementation of continuous monitoring practices for high-risk vendors.

    • Produce executive reports summarizing vendor risks, trends, and recommendations

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    • 10+ years of cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) experience, with 5+ years dedicated to third-party/vendor risk management.

    • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001).

    • Hands-on experience performing third-party risk assessments, control validations, and security attestation reviews.

    • Proficiency with tools such as VISO Trust or other TPRA platforms is a plus.

    • Ability to communicate risk exposure and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Strong negotiation skills when working with vendors on risk remediation actions.

Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field
