Overview SOS International LLC (SOSi) seeks a Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) Network Operations Specialist to join our team at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, HI. As a Network Administrator, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and supporting network operation, maintenance, and security, ensuring DoD compliance. Our SOSi team, based in Honolulu, Hawaii, creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for USINDOPACOM, its mission, and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Indo-Pacific theater. We tackle challenging technical problems critical to enabling USINDOPACOM's realization of time sensitive C2 strategies. Essential Job Duties As a Network Operations Specialist at SOS International LLC, you will work within the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) team to provide essential support within the USINDOPACOM Area-of-Responsibility (AOR). Your role includes monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring network availability, all while adhering to DoD regulations. You will be responsible for managing various network components, including LAN, BAN, WAN, telecommunications/transport protocols, Unified Communications/Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)/Video Teleconferencing (VTC), WAN accelerators, load-balancers, firewalls, and cryptographic devices. Configures, operates and optimizes Cisco routers, switches, and Adaptive Security Appliances (ASAs), TACLANE encryption devices and other network transport and protection component systems to support secure, efficient data flow within the network, while following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) when necessary. Supports and troubleshoots network devices and higher-level protocols including External Border Gateway Protocol (eBGP) routing, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) and Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) tunneling. Provides oversight of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) and TACLANE encryption methods to protect sensitive data. Implements, maintains and improves established network security practices. Uses network management tools to monitor, manage, and analyze network traffic flows, patterns, capacity, availability and performance characteristics. Provides feedback on network requirements, including network architecture and infrastructure. Participates in the planning, design, and implementation of cybersecurity initiatives. Supports regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Responds to, investigates, and resolves security incidents, including carrying out forensic analysis and determining root cause(s). Manages Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Video Teleconferencing systems (VTCs), and other Cisco VoIP systems to ensure reliable communication services. Reviews and troubleshoots network transport and protocol related issues. Patch network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties. Test network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans. Collaborates with the Cross-Domain Solutions team to facilitate secure information sharing across security domains. Liaises with Points of Contact (POCs) and customers to understand their network needs and assists in providing appropriate solutions. Participates in related solution technologies and special projects, as required. Minimum Requirements Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP). Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Networking, or similar, and 4 years of related experience or 8+ years of experience in network administration, to obtain Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within 6 months. Strong knowledge in Cisco routers, switches, ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, CSfC, TACLANE encryption methods, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, Cross-Domain Solutions, CUCM, and VTCs. Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards including government Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing network requirements, and effectively communicate with POCs and customers. Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary. Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a (distributed) team environment. Preferred Qualifications Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification Relevant IT certifications, particularly related to Cisco and network security (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, ITIL) Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) protocols and procedures Experience with virtual infrastructure, VDI/thin-client, and VoIP deployments Knowledge of Forcepoint, Juniper, and other network technologies Proficient in Help Desk and software applications (Jira, Service Now, Remedy) Awareness of Command and Control (C2) applications Experience in ITIL framework and best practices (e.g., Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, Capacity Planning) Customer-service oriented with a willingness to participate and assist Work Environment Fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environment Potential for non-traditional working hours, including consecutive nights and weekends Occasional travel to locations within the supported Area-of-Responsibility (AOR) Working at SOSi All interested individuals will receive consideration and will not be discriminated against for any reason.
