• Accounting Manager/Supervisor

    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial operations and reporting in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage key financial processes, including reconciliations, forecasting, and month-end activities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial analysis and a proactive approach to enhancing the company’s financial health.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct daily reconciliations of cash

    • Develop and maintain monthly cash forecasts to support financial planning.

    • Oversee month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and reviews.

    • Analyze and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, and prepare corporate financial reports.

    • Monitor and establish key financial metrics to assess and report on the company's financial status.

    • Prepare and present financial data to support strategic decision-making.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial challenges and improve processes.

    • Take ownership of ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational needs.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in accounting functions, including financial reporting and reconciliation.

    • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices.

    • Expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and related processes.

    • Proficiency in managing month-end close procedures and journal entry preparation.

    • Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements with precision.

    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

    • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.
