Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Interim HR Generalist Admin to provide critical support while they recruit for a permanent hire. This exciting role combines administrative responsibilities with HR generalist tasks, offering an opportunity to make an impact on the employee experience and the overall success of the HR function.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth communication and operations within the HR department. You’ll assist with various tasks, from scheduling interviews and conducting reference checks to facilitating onboarding processes and responding to inquiries about benefits, payroll, and worker’s compensation. This role requires a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable bridging administrative and generalist functions.
Key Responsibilities
+ Employee Support: Serve as the first point of contact (POC) for employee inquiries related to benefits, paychecks, vacation time, worker’s compensation, and more. Accurately navigate questions and direct employees to the appropriate HR specialist when needed.
+ Onboarding & Documentation: Assist with onboarding processes, prepare employee folders, and ensure compliance with I-9 documentation and background checks.
+ HR Administration: Process employee life cycle updates in UKG (e.g., onboarding documents, terminations, and background checks). Maintain accurate employee files by correctly filing necessary documentation.
+ Interview & Hiring Support: Support HR leadership by scheduling interviews and meetings, conducting reference checks, and assisting with hiring processes.
+ Data & Reporting: Use Excel to track, filter, and organize data, ensuring HR documentation and records are up-to-date and accurate.
+ Presentation Support: Assist in creating and updating PowerPoint presentations for employee orientation and other HR initiatives.

Technical Proficiency:
+ Experience with UKG (or similar HRIS systems) to support onboarding, employee data management, and lifecycle processes.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (filtering, freezing panes, hiding columns) and PowerPoint (creating and updating presentations).
+ Familiarity with I-9 forms, background checks, and employee onboarding documentation.

+ Proven experience working in a hybrid HR generalist/admin capacity.
