Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, conducting reconciliations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain the organization's financial health. This position is based in Auburn, Maine, and offers a remote work arrangement with the potential for a hybrid schedule in the future.
Responsibilities:
• Review carrier statements to identify and address payment inconsistencies, ensuring proper billing at the employee/employer tier.
• Conduct monthly verification and accuracy checks on assigned accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve financial processes, applying critical thinking to solve complex problems independently.
• Communicate analytical findings effectively to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Follow established payment and reconciliation procedures, adapting to updates or changes as business needs evolve.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure adherence to billing protocols and financial procedures.
• Support the implementation of innovative methods to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Uphold organizational values by delivering exceptional service, building trusted relationships, and maintaining integrity in all financial operations. Requirements • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with advanced knowledge of reconciliation processes.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to apply critical thinking in various scenarios.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial data and resolving issues clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
• Familiarity with billing, financial data analysis, and payment processing procedures.
• Commitment to professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement in financial operations.
