    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Syracuse, NY)


    Description

    Chris Preble is working with a Syracuse client of his that has a great 401k match and outstanding work life balance (37 hour work week) to find their next Accounts Receivable professional. This is a newly created position for them due to growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process incoming payments, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation in accordance with financial guidelines.

    • Prepare and distribute invoices and account statements to clients in a timely manner.

    • Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients to facilitate prompt payment.

    • Investigate and resolve billing disputes efficiently while maintaining clear and effective communication.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable activities.

    • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address and resolve billing issues.

    • Generate aging reports and provide regular updates to management regarding account statuses.

    • Support month-end closing activities and assist with audit preparations.

    • Ensure all accounts receivable processes comply with internal controls and accounting standards.

    Requirements

    • Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar financial role.

    • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks

    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
