Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support the Accounting Manager with various bookkeeping and financial tasks within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related functions.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) data with precision and efficiency.

• Generate and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.

• Conduct follow-ups on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.

• Organize and maintain accounting records and reports for easy access and compliance.

• Perform assigned tasks with a focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

• Maintain a clean and safe workspace by following established procedures and regulations.

• Optimize resource usage by operating equipment and supplies responsibly.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and complete related tasks as needed. Requirements

• Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience with general ledger management and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with purchase orders and annual physical inventory procedures.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Ability to perform check runs and other auditing tasks efficiently.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
