Description

We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our client's growing organization in Memphis, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial operations, including month-end close processes and financial statement preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage financial information to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

• Reconcile daily entries and accounts to maintain financial accuracy.

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely completion.

• Generate and review monthly financial statements, identifying and correcting discrepancies.

• Assist in payroll processing, including bi-weekly and semi-monthly runs, and record payroll journal entries.

• Support the preparation of annual reports, personal property tax schedules, and worker's compensation audits.

• Manage vendor setup for 1099 processing and handle year-end 1099 issuance.

• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Excel, and Office 365 products to perform accounting tasks effectively.

• Maintain confidentiality and ensure data security in all communications.

• Provide support for accounts payable and other general bookkeeping duties as needed.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or an Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to spot and correct errors in financial records.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Personable, motivated, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
