Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our engineering client's fast-paced team in a Purchasing Specialist role.
The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in purchasing, be familiar with Purchase Orders (POs), and have excellent vendor communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Generate Purchase Orders (POs): Create POs using the MRP system (Globalshop) based on material requirements.
+ Vendor Communication and Follow-ups: Follow up aggressively with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries, address inquiries, and resolve any issues.
+ Project Status Tracking: Maintain and update multiple Excel spreadsheets for tracking project status, changes, and relevant updates.
+ Adapt to Changes: Flexibly manage ongoing product adjustments and align purchasing tasks with evolving business requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
+ Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in purchasing or a related role.
+ Skills:
+ Proficient understanding of Purchase Orders (POs).
+ Solid communication skills for interactions with vendors and internal teams.
+ Strong knowledge of Excel; ability to work with spreadsheets and data management.
+ Technical Tools: Familiarity with Globalshop (preferred) or similar MRP systems.
+ Attributes:
+ Highly organized and detail-oriented.
+ Strong follow-up skills and ability to stay on top of deadlines.
+ Adaptability in a complex and constantly changing environment.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, supply chain, operations or related field.
