Description

Our client, a boutique business litigation and civil rights law firm in NYC, is seeking to add an Associate Attorney to their team. The firm is based in midtown is looking for a litigation associate with a minimum of 2-4 years experience in writing motions, legal research, drafting litigation documents including complaints, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, responses. Experience in defending/conducting depositions a plus. Must be able to manage all aspects of litigation including preparing for trial and drafting appellate briefs. Candidate must be confident, self-assured and have the ability to grasp and explain complex legal issues. This position will present immediate exposure to a wide range of complex legal issues including Title IX, defamation, civil rights, employment discrimination and commercial matters. Federal Court practice experience required. Must be admitted to the New York Bar in good standing.

Requirements • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in litigation, including motion practice and legal research.

• Proven ability to draft and manage complex litigation documents.

• Experience in Federal Court proceedings is required.

• Admitted to the New York Bar and in good standing.

• Strong analytical and communication skills to explain complex legal issues effectively.

• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work under deadlines.

• Confidence and self-assurance in handling legal proceedings and client interactions.
