Description We are looking for a skilled Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager to join our team in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to work with a reputable organization on critical accounts receivable and collections processes. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can streamline procedures, improve cash flow, and manage outstanding invoices efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective processes for managing accounts receivable and collections.
• Conduct outreach to business clients to recover overdue payments and address outstanding invoices.
• Monitor and track client payment data using tools like Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and cash applications.
• Provide strategic recommendations for improving collections workflows and reducing aging accounts.
• Analyze accounts and prepare detailed reports on collections status and progress.
• Assist with the transition to new accounting software systems while maintaining data integrity.
• Work onsite at least one day per week to coordinate with in-house teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with clients to resolve disputes and ensure timely payments. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable roles.
• Proficiency in accounting functions, including billing and cash applications.
• Strong knowledge of B2B collections processes and strategies.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel for data tracking and analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems and workflows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively within a part-time schedule.
• Strong analytical skills to assess accounts and provide actionable insights.
