Description We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Finance / Controller to lead financial operations and strategy for our growing organization in Houston, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to drive both strategic financial planning and hands-on controllership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial oversight, risk management, and compliance to ensure the company’s financial health and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies to support organizational goals.

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.

• Oversee treasury management, including cash flow optimization and liquidity planning.

• Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard company assets.

• Support mergers and acquisitions by providing financial analysis and due diligence.

• Manage relationships with banks, investors, and external auditors to maintain strong financial partnerships.

• Supervise the maintenance of accurate accounting records, including the general ledger.

• Direct month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Prepare and present internal and external financial reports in compliance with accounting standards.

• Analyze costs and variances to recommend effective cost-control measures. Requirements

• Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategy development in a manufacturing environment, chemicals industry experience highly preferred!

• Strong background in treasury management and cash flow optimization.

• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management and compliance with accounting standards.

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence.

• Proficiency in overseeing month-end and year-end close processes.

• Solid understanding of audit preparation and internal financial reporting.

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
