Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Vista, California. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the organization. In this role, you will support payroll processes while collaborating with both HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring all data is accurate and deductions are calculated correctly.

• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to review and process timesheets and employee records.

• Verify payroll-related bills, such as healthcare deductions, and assist employees with related paperwork.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure timely approval of timesheets for hourly employees.

• Assist with payroll adjustments related to terminations, retirements, and other changes.

• Provide support in reviewing and reconciling payroll data to ensure accuracy.

• Learn and utilize Paylocity software to manage payroll functions.

• Offer assistance with additional accounting tasks during non-payroll cycles.

• Build relationships with employees to understand and address payroll-related concerns. Requirements • 2-5 years of experience in detail-oriented roles, preferably in accounting or administrative positions.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Basic math skills and the ability to work with numbers accurately.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to listen and convey information clearly.

• Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of integrity.

• Familiarity with payroll or accounting software systems, such as ADP or Paylocity, is a plus.

• A college degree is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.

• Experience in a digital environment and comfort with electronic systems.
