Description We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Sourcing to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Portage, Michigan. In this role, you will independently manage procurement activities, including negotiating supplier contracts, maintaining compliance with company policies, and resolving delivery or quality issues. This position requires a strong understanding of sourcing strategies, market trends, and supplier management to ensure effective and efficient procurement operations.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms, including volume discounts and long-term agreements with suppliers.

• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for technical equipment, custom-engineered products, systems, software, or components.

• Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier roadmaps, and cost fluctuations to inform procurement decisions.

• Evaluate and resolve purchase order claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and addressing defects or delivery issues with suppliers.

• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve disputes, negotiate refunds, and ensure seamless delivery of goods and services.

• Apply expertise to make informed decisions and judgments independently with minimal supervision.

• Maintain and update procurement records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational standards.

• Leverage systems such as SAP R/3 and IBM AS/400 to manage sourcing and procurement processes efficiently.

• Conduct detailed evaluations of components and suppliers to ensure alignment with company standards and requirements. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in procurement or sourcing.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on supplier negotiations and contract management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP R/3 and IBM AS/400.

• Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier roadmaps, and market trends.

• Proven ability to manage purchase orders, requisitions, and claims administration.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to handle supplier relationships and resolve disputes.

• Knowledge of company policies and procedures related to procurement and conformance.
