Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting our organization's financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to maintain up-to-date and accurate general ledger records.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and balanced.
• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP tools to manage and analyze financial data.
• Support billing functions, including invoice generation and payment tracking.
• Perform auditing tasks to verify the accuracy of financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in financial data and provide insights for process improvements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities.
• Leverage tools such as Workday, Ceridian, and Concur to streamline accounting processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with tools such as Workday, Ceridian, and Concur.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies effectively.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal departments.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and compliance requirements.
