Local Bar. Global Kitchen. Neighborhood Charm. LUC!E Drink + Dine is a locally owned and operated restaurant located in the heart of Boston's Back Bay neighborhood next to the legendary Colonnade Hotel.  We are now seeking an Experienced Bartender to join our team of lively, experienced restaurant professionals. This position will be instrumental in contributing to our fresh, high-quality cuisine and comfortable, upscale restaurant environment. Responsibilities, Skills, Abilities and Experience needed to be successful:  * Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant; including knowledge of state and local liquor regulations. * Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing up-selling techniques. * Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using proper measuring systems; preparing fresh garnishes for drinks and restocking the bar with ice, supplies and alcohol. * Accurately enter food & beverage orders into a point-of-sale system.  Process all payment methods. Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank. * Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. * Ability to work well with others and have fun at work! * A minimum of 2 years bartending in full service, high-volume hotel food and beverage or restaurant management experience. * Candidates must be at legal age take drink orders, mix drinks and serve alcohol * Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods. * TIPS Certification strongly preferred. * Must be available to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements:  Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.   Must be a self-starter with a great personality and strong skills.
