Job Summary:
+ The Senior Manager, Corporate Insurance is responsible for developing and implementing the organization's corporate insurance strategy to protect against operational, financial, and strategic risks. This role works in close collaboration with the Director, Risk and Corporate Insurance.
+ This role will help oversee insurance program management, claims handling, risk assessment, and relationship management with brokers and underwriters. Responsible for assuring appropriate insurance coverage is selected, negotiated and approved by Management and placed with no gaps in coverage.
+ Given the growth of the company over the last 10 years, this individual should be able to identify areas to simplify, automate and advance all aspects of the insurance department; establishing best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the Corporate Insurance function.
+ This position coordinates with the Claims/Legal Department on large losses to ensure timely notification to insurance carriers and the proper communication of case reserves to the TPA, Actuary and Accounting.
+ Coordinates the insurance programs with the business units.
Duties:
+ Design, implement, and manage comprehensive corporate insurance programs including property, casualty, liability, D&O, cyber, and other specialized coverages in collaboration with the Director, Corporate Risk and Insurance.
+ Co-Lead insurance renewal processes, including data collection, exposure analysis, and negotiation with brokers and carriers to optimize coverage and costs.
+ Evaluate and analyze insurance proposals to ensure alignment with organizational risk appetite and business objectives.
+ Manage insurance claims processes, working with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, and carriers to achieve favorable resolutions.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance brokers, underwriters, and risk management consultants.
+ Prepare budgets for eight business units and advise on cost impact from market conditions and large losses. Total budget for all business groups are in excess of $70 million including premiums and losses.
+ Establish metrics and reporting frameworks to evaluate insurance program effectiveness.
+ Create and deliver executive-level presentations on insurance program performance and recommendations.
+ Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to identify emerging risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
+ Maintain knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in corporate insurance.
Knowledge and Skills:
+ Bachelor’s Degree. Professional designation of Associate of Risk Management (ARM), Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Certified Risk Manager (CRM) preferred.
+ Minimum of 8+ years of insurance experience as Risk Manager in a large multinational corporate setting, underwriter or broker with large brokerage house.
+ Broad practical knowledge of risk management and insurance process, claims management, basic accounting practices, finance and insurance industry and policy forms. Knowledge of casualty and property claims handling.
+ Ability to structure innovative insurance protection that is out of the ordinary main stream to solve unique risk problems.
