    Adecco is assisting one of their top clients with their search for a Payroll Specialist in Iron Mountain, MI.

     

    This role is paying $25-27/hr.

     

    Payroll Specialist

    Responsibilities:

    • **Process weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees**

    • **File federal and state payroll taxes**

    • **Upload retirement plan and HSA contributions**

    • **Track wage changes per union contract**

    • **Manage IBEW trust accounts**

    • **Manage FMLA time**

    • **Maintain employee files in ERP system**

    • **Track vacation and sick leave accrual for all employees**

    • **Post cash receipts daily**

    • **Run accounts payable checks weekly**

    • **Process accounts payable vouchers as needed**

    • **Willingness to work overtime as needed**

     

    Education: Associates Degree in Accounting preferred

     

    Experience: Minimum three years office experience in Accounting with one year payroll experience preferred

    Skills needed for Payroll Specialist

    • **Experience with payroll processing**

    • **Proficient in MS Office Suite**

    • **Good communication skills**

    • **Strong organizational skills**

    • **High level of attention to detail**

    • **Ability to work with individuals throughout the organization**

    • **Previous experience with handling sensitive and confidential information**
