Pay Range:
$24.40 - $33.55
The Senior Materials Coordinator is responsible for directly supporting the Manufacturing Teams by ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient execution of all materials movement, warehousing, and inventory control processes. This includes but is not limited to activities such as: receiving of materials, cycle counting, materials delivery, MRP/ERP transactions, and maintaining high levels of organization of materials storage systems. This position requires the ability to work independently and with minimal oversight as part of the production team and to assist management with maintaining proper flow of production orders to meet customer demand. This position also requires the ability to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy including the ability to execute root cause analysis and problem solving in all inventory control and warehousing related processes. The Senior Materials Coordinator will work closely with team members from Production, Supply Chain, QC and PE team on production materials movement and disposition, inventory control, and warehousing activities. Responsibilities of the Senior Materials Coordinator include but are not limited to: § Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient flow of raw materials, intermediate and finished products § Train and provide guidance to others § Lead problem solving projects to provide a continuous improvement mindset. § Compile, analyze and report on data of higher complexity. § Measure and maintain high levels of process performance. § Revise and initiate standard operating procedures and standard work documentation. § Independently take on additional responsibilities of a complex nature outside of day-to-day work. § Execute and direct all material movement tasks within the Consumables manufacturing processes. § Ensure inventory accuracy through administration of cycle count program, Kanban replenishment program, and all material transactions. § Ensure that all standard work, SOP’s, and other procedures are followed and remain focused on exact and repetitive transactional tasks including: o Accurate and timely movement and transactions of incoming material, WIP, and Finished Goods to appropriate personnel, warehouse, or location. o Material disposition of non-conforming products through Material Review Board (MRB). § Participate in the planning and execution of production plans with a focus on material availability and delivery. § Coordinate material shortages and buy signals to minimize negative impacts on production execution.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
High school degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse related position or Associates degree with 2+ years of experience.
Experience in a manufacturing operations or design engineering environment.
Warehouse/Inventory/Materials Management/Shipments experience.
Experience working in an ISO compliant organization.
Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Highly organized with good attention to detail and good with numbers.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Can quickly learn and apply new skills, processes, and approaches.
Good communication skills (verbal and written English) and can effectively document their work.
Exhibit a high degree of flexibility, teamwork, and commitment to continuous improvement activities.
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Basic computer literacy with MS Office software environment.
