Job Description
**Advance Local** has an exciting opportunity to join our Data team as a **Sr. Data Engineer,** developing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data to generate insights. You'll collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. The **Sr. Data Engineer** will support our Audience Strategy and Insights teams with technical implementation and automation.
The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
What you'll be doing:
+ Implement data accessibility and integration solutions
+ Support rapid protyping of new data products
+ Develop solutions for audience data modeling
+ Design, develop and maintain scalable production of data pipelines and ETL processes
+ Optimize and improve existing data systems for performance and scalability
+ Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices and validation checks
+ Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and systems
+ Stay up to date with with the latest data engineering technologies and trends
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
+ Minimum of five years of experience in data engineering or a related field
+ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
+ Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
+ Strong knowledge of SQL and database technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is a plus
+ Expertise with cloud platforms (e.g. Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services
+ Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills
+ Proven ability to collaborate and partner effectively with cross-functional teams
+ Flexibility and agility in responding to shifting priorities
+ Solutions-oriented, with a willigness to ask questions and seek clarification
