This role will be based in Mountain View, CA.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
The Product Application Infrastructure (PAI) organization’s mission is to build reliable, efficient, and intuitive world class tools and infrastructure that amplify productivity of our product engineers that create our suite of user facing products. LinkedIn's UX Infrastructure team empowers all of R&D to build world-class user experiences with speed, quality, and delight.

Responsibilities:
•You will manage the performance and career development of a team of engineers, and
own significant parts of infrastructure that require design, architecture, and coding.
•You will participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology
roadmap.
•You will be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action
and focus on craft.
•You will work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
•You will manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs
applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with
speediness and quality.
•You will develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric
applications that operate 24x7.
•You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in
regularly for continuous integration.
Basic Qualifications:
•BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical
experience.
•1+ year(s) of management experience or 1+ year(s) of staff level engineering experience
with management training
•5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software
engineering
•Experience working in software engineering using Web/UI technologies, HTML, CSS,
JavaScript
Preferred Qualifications:
•MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
•2+ years of hands-on software engineering/technical management and people
management experience
•7+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related
solutions.
•5+ years programming experience in languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,
Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, TypeScript, etc.
•Experience leading teams that build reusable UI components, design systems, accessibility
platforms, or product infrastructure
•Passion for creating outstanding user experiences and partnering closely with design t
teams
•Deep understanding of UX principles, inclusive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG,
ARIA, HIG, etc.)
•Familiarity with productivity tooling, testing infrastructure (visual regression, accessibility
testing), and design-to-code workflows
•Strong analytical skills and experience using insights and metrics to drive continuous
improvement
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage complex stakeholder
landscapes
•Proven ability to operate with urgency while maintaining high engineering quality
•Active involvement in the creation and execution of technical strategies and roadmaps
•Hire and retain world-class engineers by providing career growth, mentoring, and high
impact projects, while taking intelligent risks to improve the way work is done

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $147,000 - $240,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
