Job Title: Door Assembly Associate - First Shift

Job Description

The Door & Machine Shop Associate is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and modification of doors within the machine shop. This role requires hands-on operation of CNC machinery and other equipment to produce high-quality door products. The position demands physical strength and stamina due to the nature of material handling and production processes.

Responsibilities

+ Operate CNC machines and other equipment to fabricate and assemble doors as per specifications.

+ Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to execute accurate machining operations.

+ Safely load, unload, and transport heavy materials and products within the shop.

+ Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and work areas.

+ Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

+ Assist in training new associates as needed, sharing knowledge of procedures and best practices.

+ Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

+ Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

+ Work as a team, supporting cross-training and assisting in all areas of operations.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

+ Proficiency in operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) preferred.

+ CNC machining experience preferred.

+ Basic counting and math skills.

The work environment is climate-controlled, very clean, and well-lit. It is a manufacturing and machine shop setting with potential exposure to noise, dust, and machinery hazards.

This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
