    Job Title: Motor Technician (AC/DC)

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled mechanical assembler/motor technician to join our team in Evansville, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and building mechanical fixtures and motor components, with tasks including reading blueprints and utilizing basic hand tools to ensure equipment is fully assembled and troubleshoot any issues. You will work closely with operations managers, shop leads, engineers, welders, and electricians to ensure all mechanical components are assembled to specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints to understand mechanical layouts of specific equipment.

    + Utilize hand tools, fasteners, and other components to build equipment to specifications.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues with oversized parts, design flaws, etc.

    + Collaborate with electrical, welding, and engineering teams to address unforeseen assembly problems.

    + Perform basic installation of wiring on certain equipment, if experienced, requiring knowledge of electrical schematics.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of mechanical troubleshooting and mechanical assembly experience.

    + 1+ years of experience reading blueprints.

    + Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience building custom machinery/equipment.

    + Electrical wiring and schematic knowledge.

    + 480v and 3-phase motor experience.

    + High school diploma.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is based in a large job shop facility, which is semi-climate controlled. The machine shop can become hot during summer and cool during winter, and while it is generally clean, some areas may vary. The role requires working 5 eight-hour shifts per week, with overtime as needed, and training will occur on the first shift for 6-12 months. Employees will work at least two weekends per month and may transition to night shifts after training. 2nd shift, train on 1st.

     

    ***Starting $24-$32/hr based on experience in Evansville, IN!

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
