Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who is adept at taking blueprints and programming (entering G&M codes) directly at the machine using the machine's control. The ideal candidate will be a print-to-part machinist, utilizing CNC Mill machining centers to perform value-adding machining on pre-casted underbody automotive parts.
Responsibilities
+ Program and enter G&M codes directly at the machine using conversational programming.
+ Utilize CNC mill machining techniques to complete assigned tasks.
+ Be a print-to-part machinist, taking blueprints and transforming them into finished parts.
+ Load existing programs and make necessary offsets.
+ Perform machining tasks during afternoon shifts (4pm-12pm) and midnight shifts (12am-8am).
+ Work 2-3 Saturdays a month, with occasional Sundays offering double time.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in entering G&M codes and conversational programming.
+ Proficiency in CNC mill machining.
+ Minimum of 4-5 years of machining experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Siemens and Fanuc controls.
+ Familiarity with primary CNC brands like Vigel, SW, Mazak, and OKK.

Work Environment
Work in a busy manufacturing setting focused on metal machining. The facility is well-lit and specializes in milling CNC operations. Utilize Fanuc controls and Mastercam for program generation. Collaborate with castings received from Montague plant and contribute to value-added processes like creating holes for bearings and pins. The environment features primary CNC brands including Vigel, SW, Mazak, and OKK.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Port Huron, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
-Candidate will be taking blueprints and programming (entering G&M codes) from scratch at the machine with the machine's control
-They have to be able to be a print-to-part machinist
-They will be using CNC Mill machining centers to do value adding machining to pre-casted underbody automotive parts
Must
- Entering G&M codes / at machine programming (AKA conversational programming)
- CNC mill machining
- 4-5 years of experience machining
(someone capable of loading existing program, and making off sets will work, but wont get over $22)
Afternoons = 4pm-12pm x1 opening
Midnights = 12pm-8am x2 openings
Work 2-3 Saturdays a month
Sundays rarely, but pays double time
