    Job Title: Carpenter

     

    Pay: $25-30/hr

    Schedule:

    + 40-50 hour weeks

    + Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays.

    + 6-7 am start time.

    + South Denver, Thornton and Aurora, CO

    + They typically work in the Denver metro area and have some projects north of Denver as well.

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Carpenter with commercial experiene to work on projects at schools across the Denver metro area, including new builds, additions, and remodels.

    Responsibilities

    As a Carpenter working for our general contractor on new build commercial projects, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the successful completion of construction projects. Your key duties will include:

     

    + **Framing and Rough Carpentry** : Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes, by measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials.

    + **Safety Carpentry** : Ensure all carpentry work adheres to safety standards and regulations, including installing safety barriers and performing tasks that contribute to a safe work environment.

    + **Site Maintenance:** Assist with site maintenance tasks such as trash pickup, sweeping, organizing materials, weatherproofing, and erosion control.

    + **Interior Carpentry:** Install cabinets, lockers, shelving, drywall, doors, windows, and hardware, as well as perform drywall repair, painting, and re-caulking.

    + **Punch List Items:** Complete final touch-ups and repairs, including drywall repair, painting, re-caulking, and hardware installation.

    + **Operating Equipment:** Safely and efficiently operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts.

    + **Collaboration:** Work closely with other construction professionals, including architects and interior designers, to ensure the project meets specifications.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 1+ years of commercial construction experience as an all-phase carpenter.

    + Proficiency in framing, drywall, steel framing, carpentry, and installation.

    + Experience in interior carpentry and commercial construction.

    + Knowledge of safety standards and practices in construction environments.

    + Must have own tools

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work in commercial construction sites, dedicating 40+ hours a week to projects including new builds for schools, multifamily housing, and assisted living facilities.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver metro area, Colorado

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
