    Job Title: Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled machinist to safely set up, program, and operate CNC mills ranging from 2-axis to 4-axis to produce precise parts as per job orders. The role involves operating various machine shop equipment, performing maintenance on assigned machines, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Safely set up, program, and operate 2-axis CNC mill to produce parts as required by job order.

    + Safely set up, program, and operate 3-4 axis CNC mill to produce parts as required by job order.

    + Operate various saws, grinders, sanders, hoists, and other machine shop equipment as required.

    + Safely operate forklift as required.

    + Perform maintenance on assigned machines.

    + Maintain housekeeping duties to keep work area neat, clean, safe, and stocked.

    + Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in CNC Mill and Lathe Operation (2-4 axis).

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading.

    + Mechanical assembly and repair skills.

    + Saw operation and hand tool expertise.

    + Capability to work with stainless steel and sheet metal.

    + Forklift operation certification.

    + Welding skills.

    + Grinding and CNC machine operation.

    + Ability to use calipers and CNC laser.

    + Troubleshooting and programming CNC with g-code and m-code.

    + Manual machining, manual lathe, and manual mill skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in setting up and operating manual lathe.

    + Operating Bridgeport mill and Key seater to produce parts.

    + Assembly, repair, and fabrication expertise.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a non-climate controlled environment with older machines. Personal Protective Equipment, engineering controls, defined procedures, and specialized training are provided to minimize hazard exposure risks. The shift is Monday - Friday, from 7am to 3:30pm.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
