Job Title: Millwright Mechanic | 1st and 3rd shift rotating | $27-$32/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team in Dover, OH. This role involves maintaining and repairing chemical manufacturing equipment while working on a rotating Dupont schedule of 4-3-3 days/nights on 12-hour shifts. You will be involved in pipefitting, pump rebuilds, motor repairs, conveyor repairs, and minor structural welding as required.

Responsibilities

+ Perform industrial maintenance on chemical manufacturing equipment.

+ Conduct pipefitting, assembly, and installation.

+ Rebuild and install pumps.

+ Repair motors and conveyors.

+ Execute minor structural welding when needed.

+ Maintain valves, gears, meters, and bearings.

+ Perform equipment lubrication and upkeep.

+ Install and dismantle equipment as required.

+ Work indoors 85% of the time and outdoors 15%.

Essential Skills

+ 4+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatic system maintenance.

+ Proficiency in working with valves, pipes, pumps, meters, bearings, and gearboxes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with large conveyors and bearings is advantageous.

+ Welding skills are desirable.

+ Basic electrical maintenance knowledge is beneficial.

+ Previous experience in chemical manufacturing is a big plus.

+ Ability to read equipment manuals to ensure appropriate operation and repair.

+ Capability to complete and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork.

Work Environment

The work environment is based in an industrial chemical manufacturing setting with both indoor and outdoor tasks as needed. The role is unionized and operates on a unique rotating schedule, ensuring every other weekend is off. Starting rate is $28.71 during initial training, increasing to $32.21 after a successful 90-day training period, with further increments after twelve months. You will work alongside a solution-oriented team in a private company known for fostering great relationships.
