Job Title: Senior Project Manager
THIS IS A PART-TIME NEED, 20-32 HOURS A WEEK
Job Description
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating multiple projects to ensure they align with the organization’s goals and objectives. This role involves project planning and execution, stakeholder management, resource allocation, and risk management to deliver projects on time, within scope, within budget, and meeting project goals. The position requires adherence to the AMI Stage Gate process.
Responsibilities
+ Develop project plans, goals, and objectives in alignment with organizational strategy.
+ Define project milestones, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
+ Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
+ Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project goals, progress, and challenges.
+ Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
+ Identify the resources needed for assigned projects and coordinate with functional leaders to resolve conflicts.
+ Identify potential risks and issues within the project and develop mitigation strategies.
+ Develop and manage the project budget, track project expenses, and prepare financial reports and forecasts.
+ Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and best practices by executing quality control processes.
+ Develop and deliver project status reports to senior management and stakeholders using metrics and KPIs.
+ Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring all change requests are documented and communicated.
+ Provide leadership and direction to the project team, fostering a collaborative environment and mentoring team members.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
+ 10+ years’ experience in leading multiple project teams simultaneously.
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
+ Proven success as a program or project manager in a Product Development environment.
+ Proficient in project management practices, software, and tools.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
+ High attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
+ Experience with risk management and quality assurance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMP (Program Management Professional) certification.
+ Engineering experience.
+ Master’s degree.
+ Experience in metals, vinyl, materials.
Work Environment
The role involves working in a hybrid on-site environment. The standard office environment is attached to the corporate office, with manufacturing facilities nearby. This position reports into the supply chain and supports projects related to engineering design.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
