Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
As a Production Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical components, ensuring the achievement of daily production goals and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of lean work cells. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some overtime and Saturdays as necessary.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components and machines.
+ Maintain quality standards and production goals, and communicate any workload backlog.
+ Multitask and adapt to directional shifts in production schedules.
+ Effectively communicate with supervisors and report the status of the work area.
+ Ensure standardized work processes are followed, implement countermeasures, and comply with all safety requirements.
+ Perform special projects as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical inclination and assembly skills.
+ Ability to work independently and utilize basic hand tools.
+ Proficiency in general labor tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
+ Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic mechanical and electro-mechanical principles and procedures.
+ Ability to follow mechanical drawings and other written documentation.
+ Previous experience in a lean production environment is desired but not required.
+ Capability to lift and move components and parts weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
This role is based at our world headquarters in Naugatuck, CT, where you will be part of a leading manufacturer of reverse vending equipment used to recycle beverage containers.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NAUGATUCK, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
