Job Title: Precision Tool Grinder | 1st shift | $18-$20/hr | Canton

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Precision Tool Grinder for a first shift position in Canton, OH. This role offers flexibility in work hours, allowing you to choose between (4) 10-hour shifts or (5) 8-hour shifts. You will be responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines, ensuring tooling precision, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate grinding machines to produce custom tools and maintain tooling precision.

+ Inspect tools to ensure adherence to required specifications and tolerances.

+ Perform routine maintenance on grinding machinery and ensure proper functionality.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tools and equipment.

+ Collaborate with CNC and Mill operators to meet production goals.

+ Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

+ Document and communicate progress, quality control results, and issues to the team.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience working with grinding machinery or similar equipment in a manufacturing or tool shop setting.

+ Knowledge of drill and tooling geometry, materials, and grinding techniques.

+ Ability to sharpen taps, chasers, and form tools.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.

+ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with CNC and milling operations is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
