    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Shift Machine Set-up Operator to join our team. This position operates from Sunday to Thursday, 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Training will be provided on the 1st or 2nd shift for 4-8 weeks. As a Machine Set-up Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various mechanically controlled production equipment to ensure parts meet blueprint tolerances and specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate mechanically controlled production equipment such as press brakes, saws, drills, spot welders, shears, fin/core machines, and brazing ovens.

    + Install tools, dies, or fixtures to produce parts according to blueprint tolerances and specifications.

    + Utilize wrenches, hoists, gages, and precision measuring equipment.

    + Correlate machine positions with alignment, tool sequence, clearances, and part dimensions.

    + Adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut to ensure optimal operation.

    + Perform and approve first piece inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.

    + Experience in machine set-up and operation.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and following detailed instructions.

    + Experience working with press brakes, punches, or metal fabrication.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to use precision measuring equipment and gages.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.

    + Capability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment involves operating various production machines and equipment in a manufacturing setting. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment. The position follows a third-shift schedule, with initial training provided on the 1st or 2nd shift.

    This is a Contract position based out of WEST KINGSTON, Rhode Island.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.09 - $26.09/hr.
