Job Title: Payroll SpecialistJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to manage the bi-weekly payroll for over 275 employees across 7 divisions in multiple states. This role involves entering new hires, processing employee changes, and handling voluntary deductions in the payroll system. You will partner with another associate to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and process hourly and salaried bi-weekly payrolls.
+ Review computed wages and correct errors to ensure earnings accuracy.
+ Ensure all payroll changes are processed correctly.
+ Prepare and process garnishments and manual checks for terminations and discrepancies.
+ Check non-exempt personnel timesheets using electronic time and attendance software to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
+ Calculate new hire pay, termination pay, and required adjustments.
+ Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, including manual check logs and payroll account reconciliation.
+ Process stop payments or payroll adjustments.
+ Handle garnishments, deductions, and vacation/sick accruals.
+ Calculate bonuses and profit-sharing earnings as requested.
+ Ensure computing, withholding, and deductions are done correctly.
+ Manage the 401(k) plan by ensuring timely contributions to the 401(k) administrator.
+ Prepare various payroll and management reports, journal entries, workers' compensation, and reconcile quarterly payroll taxes.
+ Coordinate and administer benefits.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience in multi-state payroll processing for both salaried and hourly employees.
+ Experience with ADP payroll systems.
+ Knowledge of wage and hour laws.
+ Experience processing garnishments, sick leave, benefits, 1095, W2 forms, etc.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with per diem pay calculations preferred.
+ Experience in 401(k) and profit-sharing administration preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
