Job Description
Join a dynamic and rapidly growing genome engineering team as a Scientist II in Molecular Biology. Responsibilities
+ Conduct sample testing and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Bioinformatics, Marketing, Technical Service, and Operations.
+ Design experimental plans independently and analyze experimental data.
+ Generate laboratory protocols and write technical reports, quantitative analyses, and product summaries.
+ Troubleshoot and solve complex problems in the design and execution of development projects.
+ Investigate, create, and incorporate new methods and technologies to enhance development workflows.
+ Maintain an accurate lab notebook to support intellectual property protection.
+ Present data at scientific conferences both internally and externally.
+ Interact closely with internal departments, including Marketing, Business Development, Quality, Operations, and Technical Services.
+ Comply with all company safety, training, and quality regulations.
Essential Skills
+ Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related discipline with 1-2 years of lab experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience.
+ Strong molecular biology experience with a experiencein protein engineering applications.
+ Hands-on experience in protein purification, protein expression, and functional protein activity screens.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Protein evolution and characterization experience.
+ Prior industrial experience is desirable.
+ Strong cloning experience including standard cloning, PCR, mutagenesis, and sequencing.
+ Experience in characterizing proteins using PAGE gels and functional assays.
+ Proficiency in protein purification, particularly using AKTA systems.
+ working with proteins and bacterial functional screens.
+ Proven proficiency in data analysis, research design, troubleshooting, and evaluation of new techniques and procedures.
Work Environment
The role is contingent, with a schedule from Sunday to Saturday. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside supportive teammates, utilizing advanced technologies and methodologies. The position adheres to strict safety and quality standards, ensuring a collaborative and innovative work culture.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
