Job Description:
As an Interior Design Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing test fits and space plans, implementing and managing the design process, and understanding project-related MEP and structural engineering. You will support real estate transactions, deploy resources to ensure a smooth design process flow, and develop and maintain strong client relationships with open communication and integrity. Your ability to clearly express ideas and project management updates, drive business with excellent customer service and quality control, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, engineers, consultants, contractors, construction managers, and clients will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design Leadership: Develop test fits and space plans, and implement and manage the design process.
+ Technical Coordination: Understand project-related MEP and structural engineering, as well as vendor scope of work and related coordination.
+ Real Estate Support: Support real estate transactions by understanding the lease transaction process.
+ Resource Deployment: Deploy resources to ensure a smooth design process flow.
+ Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong client relationships with open communication and integrity.
+ Communication: Clearly express ideas and project management updates in writing and verbally.
+ Customer Service: Drive business with excellent customer service and quality control.
+ Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, engineers, consultants, contractors, construction managers, and clients.
+ Project Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison between the team and the client to bring the design, schedule, budget, and scope of work to completion.
+ Performance: Perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Team Supervision: Directly supervise up to six employees on a team, assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff, plan, assign, and direct the team’s project work, and provide constructive and timely performance assessments for team members.
+ Conflict Management: Possess strong conflict management and resolution skills.
Essential Skills:
+ Education: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from a college or university, or 5-8 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience: 10+ years of experience with investor (landlord) and occupier (tenant) services, and experience supervising 3+ people.
+ Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in corporate interiors, tenant improvement, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, rendering, space planning, code compliance, zoning, ADA, furniture design, finish, building codes, interior design, project management, MEP, structural engineering, vendor relationship, Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D rendering.
+ Certifications: LEED certification and business development experience.

Work Environment:
Our high-volume interiors firm features an open floor plan and inclusive environment where leadership sits in the main area. The office includes amenities such as a full kitchen, conference rooms, 'Wine Down Fridays' with food and drinks, monthly chair massages, and summer half-day Fridays. We provide training to standardize practices and career path development meetings to support employee growth. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend work as required. The position may require up to 5% local travel, including attending meetings and work sessions at other offices, client offices, or job sites. Mileage will be reimbursed at a predetermined market rate. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation is required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
