Summary:Under Tech Modernization program, we are transforming the way Huntington’s IT Core systems interact. Our key objectives include enabling our IT partners to deliver business value through capabilities established using simplified, modern, flexible, and scalable technologies and patterns to faster value to market, risk reduction, vendor viability and enable growth and expansion.

The SOAP to REST Product Owner will serve on the SOAP to REST Scrum team. whose goals are to manage migrating SOAP Service to REST format across the existing platforms, build new capabilities therein, and support onboarding of applications to the platform offerings.

The role will assist Product Architecture and Product Manager in identifying tactical solutions and subsequent prioritization of roadmap execution.

The Product Owner will also be responsible for managing cross impact application engagement, among other responsibilities.This role requires the individual to and have the aptitude to understand the team’s overarching Event-Driven technology capabilities, such that s/he can assist the team leads in appropriate decomposition, prioritization, and implementation of the work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Build the team’s feature and user story backlogs and assist in their prioritization and goals• Act as a subject-matter expert who understands technology• Use technical background to bridge the gap between the product and technical side of product development• Interprets technical requirements and integrates them into product backlog• Ensure end-end delivery of features, manage the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through production and release• Prioritize customer needs and manage product feature sets • Assist in creation of functional and technical design documentation • Ensure alignment to overall direction of solutions; works to identify and prioritize features to meet needs of the customer • Ensures use of best practices in the development delivery of product solutions• Ensure alignment to Core Modernization program objectives throughout the lifecycle of each effort• Build strong partnerships with key partners and other projects and IT teams planning to leverage the Core Modernization capabilities• Represent the customer and business goals while working with technology partners to deliver products• Maintain information on service performance and application metrics for analysis and reporting to management• Provide transparency to business and technology leadership on status and product development issues• Escalates issues to journey owners for resolution• Manage risk associated with delivering applications and specific application features

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ 5+ years of experience as a business analyst in any type of delivery framework on an agile team writing user stories/requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with Agile practices and delivery

+ Software Development for technical aspects of product development (coding/programming, architecture, etc.)• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Well-developed conceptual and analytical thinking skills

+ Experience with RESTful microservices or understanding of the concepts associated• Experience and/or understanding of event driven architecture • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)• Experience with technologies such as Google Bigtable or similar capabilities• Experience or understanding of enterprise data storage concepts• Ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy• Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment• Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand technology• Experience working and delivering in an agile environment while supporting applications delivering in a waterfall fashion• Accountability • Continuous Improvement• Teamwork and Collaboration• Initiative and Focused Execution• Flexibility• Time Management and Organizational Skills
