Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Technician who will contribute to ongoing support and implement hardware and software upgrades on equipment and automated systems. The ideal candidate will have PLC programming experience in a manufacturing environment working with equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Contribute to ongoing support of equipment and automated systems.

+ Implement hardware and software upgrades on equipment.

+ Program and troubleshoot PLCs in a manufacturing environment.

+ Assist with maintenance issues on manufacturing equipment if required.

+ Work with electrical systems and manufacturing equipment, including servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.

+ Utilize and interpret electrical drawings and documentation processes.

+ Work with Rockwell Automation and Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000) systems.

Essential Skills

+ Automation experience

+ PLC programming and troubleshooting

+ Electrical experience with manufacturing equipment

+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with manufacturing equipment

+ Ability to work with ladder logic

+ Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs

+ Strong troubleshooting skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer

+ Knowledge of power transmission equipment and wiring

+ Familiarity with servo drives

+ Experience with Rockwell Automation systems

Work Environment

The role will be primarily based adjacent to the production area. The position offers a generous benefits package with incentives, opportunities for training and growth within the engineering team, and a supportive team environment.

Schedule is 10:00pm-6:30am M-F OR 2-2-3 rotating (6:00pm-6:00am)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83720.00 - $89960.00/yr.

40-hrs accrued vacation 1st year (3 month waiting period to take vacation). Able to roll 80hrs/yr once accrued. 10 Holidays (New Year's, MLK Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4 & 5, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Day After, Christmas Day)3 Medical Plans, 1 Dental plan offered.401k elective plan - matching 50% up to 6% (if elect 6%, company to match up to 3%).HSA - LiDestri contributes based on which plan they choose.NYS Paid sick leave - accrued up to 56 hours yearly.Company performance bonus up to $200/yr is meeting specific metrics.Holiday bonus up to $750/yr Wellbeing Program - Eligible to earn up to 24 hours of PTO per calendar yr for meeting wellbeing criteria or $300/yr.
