Resp & Qualifications
PURPOSE:
Manages, defines, designs, and develops system requirements. Performs trade-off analyses of performance, life-cycle cost, risk and other system or program requirements. Assesses architecture. sub systems and current hardware limitations, defines and designs system specifications, and evaluates input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Defines system support requirements. Analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Conducts independent technical investigations in systems design. Performs engineering studies and analyses, analyze system problems in support of development, develop system implementation solutions. Develops concepts, provides requirements analyses, performs modeling and simulations, cost estimations, cost benefit analysis, familiar with engineering standards and industry best practices. Conducts COTS hardware and software interoperability, new technologies assessments, statistical studies, predictive analysis, project planning, script development, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Identifies program objectives and technical development strategy; prepares System Engineering Management Plan, Work Breakdown Structures, master schedules, and key performance parameters. Develops and implements risk and opportunity management plans, identifies risks, assesses risks, develops mitigation plans, disaster recovery and tracks risks. Oversee the planning, design and implementation of system engineering projects.
Plan, develop and lead systems engineering project and efforts.
Develop and implement techniques to prevent system problems, troubleshoots incidents to recover services, and support the root cause analysis. Develops and follows standard operating procedures for common tasks to ensure quality of service.
Manages customer and stakeholder needs, generates and develops requirements, and performs functional analysis. Fulfills business objectives by collaborating with network staff to ensure reliable software and systems.
Acts as a mentor for junior and senior team members.
Installs, tunes, upgrades, troubleshoots, and maintains all computer systems relevant to the supported applications including all necessary tasks to perform operating system administration, user account management, disaster recovery strategy and networking configuration.
Expands engineering job knowledge and leading technologies by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; educational opportunities and participating in professional societies.

Individual Contributor - Leads a team utilizing a matrix management system
Qualifications:

**Education Level** : Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
**Experience:** 10 years of relevant IT systems engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fundamental knowledge in Control M Architecture , Administration , Maintenance and Support.
+ 6+ years of experience in Control-M Scheduling and Administration
+ 6+ years of Control-M workload Automation
+ Proficient in Unix and Linux
+ Proficiency in Scripting (Batch/Shell/Python)
+ Experience with Installation and upgrades of BMC Control-M Products
+ Experience developing complex scheduling configurations
+ Experience in automation tools like Ansible and Orchestration CI/CD Tools
+ System Architecture Experience
+ Experience working in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure )
+ Experience with Process and Project management, project planning, stakeholder communication, risk management, incident reporting, incident management and documentation.
+ Basic programming skills with an understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation, troubleshooting and testing of Infrastructure related to Tomcat/Linux.
+ Interpersonal skills to engage with all stakeholders/customers to help triage conflicts and issues.
+ Ability to work independently and as a part of a diverse team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge of programming languages and web-based technologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to collaborate to solve technical problems across teams.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

ITIL Foundations v3 within 180 Days Pref
Salary Range: $142,400 - $254,540
